THIS is exactly it.

The problem lies in the FOUNDATIONS.

HOW we have built the house.

Why we built the house and who we built the house FOR.

The house of our patriarchal society was built upon the idea of scarcity, competition. Not enough. The fear of 'other' because they may threaten 'my' way of life, what 'I' know, who 'I' am and thus what I have access to.

The foundations of the house were fashioned around the understanding that security comes in shoring up for the self at the expense of and via the exploitation of others.

Taking to get. Suppressing to rise. Storing and hoarding to win.

These are the roots.

We can't expect to fight 'against' these roots.

Rather we must bring new information. New understanding. An upgraded perspective on what it is to survive, to thrive, to live and be well.

As we learn to stop rejecting ourselves and all the ways we're COPING under this system, it is here that we will start to re-connect with FEELING. Through re-connecting with feeling, we're going to start to see that parts of society that truly work and function well, and what parts don't. The intellect can be convinced of anything, but the body and the experience can't lie.

When we soften, we are tapping into an extra sense. A sense that makes sense of what's going on around us in a way the short sighted intellect never could.

We then have compassion. But not a flimsy compassion. Not one that 'allows' for anything to go.

It's a compassion that illuminates WHY we built the world way we have. We were scared. We cut ourselves off from feeling to do what logically made sense at the time. We aren't evil as a species, we are misguided.

Then we can start to build NEW systems. As we can't become 'not something'. We must build something new in the place of what was.

Compassion and softness means leaning into real reality. What actually works and what only appears to work for a few.

There is no winning in this came of co-creation. There simply isn't.

We're going to thrive together or die apart.

So, how does that softness show up as power? It helps us create our own world from true logic - true cause and effect, true value. True purpose. This causes us to check out of over consumption and production - and THIS weakens the whole thing. It draws us to redistribute. To CARE for those who need care right now. To nourish what needs to be nourished.

As we do this - we build the new way.

The old cannot stand when we have something BETTER.

Softness, as you say. Is the way.

Thank you. Always beautiful writing. What of thinking of this dismantling as actually giving women the reclaiming of our own power again at its roots. We no longer need to rail against a system-- because we"ve had the power all along in our numbers, in our voices, and at the local level, not with Dad Government. Women vote in greater numbers than men. We don't need to seek or ask the systems for permission any longer. We start where we are, in our communities...we "move at dawn."
